24 days till Christmas... let the advent calender's begin.

Another busy week here. Tahlia spent a lot of time playing with her new toys that she got for her birthday.

We had some craft time on Monday and made some thank you cards for Tahlia's birthday presents. I hope everyone that got one liked the kids handy work. They had a lot of fun making them.

As it is drawing closer to Christmas we have been spending time at Playgroup making things for Christmas. The kids have cut and pasted christmas paper onto giant Christmas shapes, we have a HUGE Christmas tree the kids have made and that will be hung up on our last day of Playgroup.

I also thought seeing the kids are a little older now and able to make things we have been slowly making Christmas crafts at home. Nathan has really been enjoying it and loves to colour in. Tahlia is still a little young and her attention span does not last very long but she has enjoyed it still. So far we have made Christmas Wreaths for the door and some gingerbread men to hang around.

We can't wait to get the Christmas tree and put that up. Will have to get Nige to get out all the decorations and the Christmas bears out of the roof all in readiness for the tree. We get a real one each year and nothing better then the smell of those pine trees. Will have to wait for the weekend l think though.

Nathan playing outside.

A lot has been happening around the home (home reno's if you can call them that). Nige has been busy with Nate's help of putting up the posts for the side gates. They are now in and painted and awaiting for the gates to be made. No more escaping for Tahlia now. Well not that she escapes but if she sees the cat heading that way she will follow. She adores the cat.

Nige has also been busy and putting up the basketball ring for the kids to play with as they get older.

Isn't he cute

The veggie patch has been coming along nicely and Nige loves to get out there when he can and tend to the patch. The water restrictions have not limited our water supply as we catch the rainwater to feed the plants. We have snow peas, beans, lettuces (2 types), tomatoes, carrots, strawberries just to name a few things.

The "patch"

Tahlia giving baby a wash.

Time to dry baby.

Now to feed baby.

She loves baby and loves to feed her and dress her (more like undressing her), and she is often found with the nappy wipes and cleaning up Wags the dog or Dorothy from the wiggles.

Tahlia all ready to help daddy outside. Nige thought she looked like Dakota Fanning with her hair like this.

We had a picnic dinner at the park with friends from church/playgroup. It was nice for the kids to get outside and run around with their friends. Tahlia enjoys kicking a ball so she spent a lot of time on the oval running and kicking.

Tahlia playing at the park You can see the nice little bump she has on her nose. she fell over in the front yard right on the edge of the driveway. Looks worse now a week later as it is changing colours and nice black and yellow.

Mummy and Tahlia watching a helicopter fly by.

Giggles

We were the last to leave and Nate was chasing me thru the park as a pirate, he ran up to the monkey bars (which you could climb across) and then fell right down to the ground. Not sure who was in more shock Nate or myself. He must have bitten his tongue on the way down. And he also hit his chin on the bar as he fell. Checked him all over and he seemed ok. So it seems Pirates are prone to falling too.
