Winter is here

I love this pic of the kids. ( Nate looks so cute and like a little boy with his hair all spiked, and Tahlia is like a little girl with her pigtails).

I know another post l had said winter was here, but l must have lied. It has certainly been here the past week. The temperature has not gone over 13 and it has been dark and cold. Even the sun has not come out. 5mintues ago l would have said it was out but l think it knew what l was to say and hide behind the clouds. Oh well l have some hot milo (to warm me up) and a custard scroll (thanks to Bakers Delight) to get me thru this post.

One Sunday we braved the cold weather and went for a drive. The Eastlink was finally open so we took the kids on it to check it out. We had lunch (a quick one as it was so cold) in Frankston and then called in on nanny and poppy on the way home.

Tahlia chasing the seagulls.

All rugged up( and it was so so cold, and very windy. The ways were washing over the pier).

But we did have one weekend nice and warm, well not warm but the sun was out. Nige was outside painting a basketball ring and board. So l rugged the kids up so they could play outside. I think they are sick of the cold weather and being cooped up inside.

How do l know... l hear you ask??? Well Nathan has been using his chest of drawers as a climbing frame. We have caught him jumping off the top and also opening every draw and then climbing up them as steps till they toppel over him. Boys and their adventures.

But then Tahlia has had her fair share too and been showing off her artwork on the walls and tv cabinet with both crayon (mind you it had to be black) and pencil on the tv cabinet. But the magic erasers came to the rescue. phew l managed to challenge that one.

Tahlia in the garden.

Nate in the garden, he tells me he is searching for worms after daddy had shown him the veggie patch and the worms in there.
