Veggie Patches & Cubby houses

Thats all we are hearing here..... Nige has been quite excited with his ideas and plans for his vegie patch and spent one sunny Saturday we had digging around the patch with the kids help. I think it was just an excuse to get down and get dirty. The kids had a ball outside playing in the dirt. But they have not been able to get out there since as it had rained and it is all mud. Nate and Tahlia did sneak out over the weekend and thought it would be fun to decorate the shed in mud. Nige was not too impressed.

Nige's other project is the cubby house that he is building for the kids for Christmas. When Nige has an idea he puts 100% into it. So he has been looking at ideas, drawing plans onto his laptop and even checking out local timber places for the timber he will need and the cost. Nate is getting a little too over exctied about it all. We looked at Aaron's Cubby house's the other day and the kids went nuts climbing in all the cubby houses, down slides and opening and shutting doors all while yelling at the top of their voices... Maybe being shut up in house as it has been too wet and cold to go out hasn't helped either.

Renee jokes and says this cubby house will be a "hide out" for the parents when it is built. We never had cubby houses like that when we were kids.
