I know, l know a whole month gone and not a post. Nige re-booted the computer and had not put the camera program back on so l have been unable to put the photos onto the computer until now. So bare with us this month as we catch up.
So here it is our adventures in October.
The weather is gettting warmer and have been out and about. We spent half a day down at Cape Schanck (down the coast) and then had a picnic at one of our favourite picnics grounds nearby called Fingal Picnic ground. We love this place as it is sheleted by HUGE pine trees and a great place to picnic or have a game of "going on a bear hunt" the kids favourite game and song.
It had been a while since we have been here. And the changes to the place were great. They had finally done the carpark up, and before it was just gravel and full of pot holes. Now they have cleared it all and concreted it all. Looks great. Just been completed as you could still smell the tarmac.
Last time we were here the boardwork had been closed as they were fixing the steps. So was nice to be able to walk down them and show the kids. Tahlia had a ball walking down them and at every step she came to she said "step" as she stept down.
While Nige wandered off over some rocks to get some better photos of the wild waves. Nate and Tahlia entertained themselves with building towers with the rocks and even throwing them to try and reach the sea.
The wild waves.
Nate ran the many flight of stairs and plonked down at the top to wait for us to catch up to him. We were able to catch his many faces as he sat there and waited. He was oboviously worn out after running up all those steps.
After the walk and all that fresh sea air we were all hungry and our mouth was watering at the thought of hamburgers for lunch. Went to Fingal Picnic area and while the kids played amongst the trees Nige cooked lunch.
Funny thing was he had brought mince meat instead of burgers for lunch. Well l am sure they all look the same in the freezer... eheh So it was just bread and cheese and kabana. But still it all was good and no one complained.
The kids had a ball playing hide-n-seek behind the trees and then we even split into 2 teams Nate and mummy with Tahlia and daddy and played hide n seek. Should be called Hide-n-squeal.
Picnic lunch
So till next time sweet dreams.
