Busy life

One weekend Renee went on the ladies camp with church down at Philip Island. It was great to get away and stay in 5 star accomadtion and not have to do a thing! Bliss!!!

We went for a walk on the Saturday afternoon into Cowes. Started to rain on the walk, l did not even have a jacket. So our lovely friend gave me her scarf and beanie and we giggled and giggled the whole way down there. Ahhhh to laugh like that is fantastic.

Don't laugh but if it does the job and keeps me dry and warm.. who cares what one looks like.

It was great fellowship and a very relaxing weekend. Well for Renee anyhow.

Nige did a super job at home with the kids.. Pity it rained all weekend though.

Tahlia had her first haircut last week, well fringe. It was getting in her eyes and making it hard for her to see.

Here she is with her new look and her new bear!

Kisses and cuddles for bear.

We had a lovely and sunny winter weekend and made the most of it and spent a lot of time outside. Nige tackled the lawn and some trees that needed pruning. Now that the leaves are falling off he can get up there and tackle it. Will look really good next spring.

Daddy and his gems.

Daddy and his little girl.

All spunky and ready to go out.

We took the kids for a walk down on the beach in Frankston on the weekend. The weather was just perfect, the sun was out and there was not even a cold breeze as we walked along. Nathan was fasinated with the number of jelly fish and star fish washed up on the beach. He was upset though that there were no sharks... That was all he wanted to see.

All ready to walk.

Nathan and the beach... let me out there!

Walking.....

Now where is that shark.

Nate's birthday Party.

Sorry been a bit slack in getting this up and out there.

The afternoon of the party , which was in the evening Tahlia had her nap and this is how we found her asleep in her bed... How painful does this look.

We had both side of the family come over for dinner. Nate had a real ball, being at the table with so many people and having a good laugh with Aunty Karen. He had to test out his new tools and kept "cutting" of her limbs and then sewing them back on only to cut them off again. I am not even sure if she went home with all her limbs.

The family at dinner.

Nige and l made a joint effort and made a dinosaur cake or as Nate calls it a "dinosauras" cake. We did run out of icing so excuse the edges where there is no icing. Nate loved his cake of course.

Singing Happy Birthday.

Nate's 3rd birthday cake.

Then it was time for presents and the best part of the evening for Nate (that and eating the cake). As you can tell he is wearing a hard hat, that was his gift from us as well as the tool bench and tools. Our budding little builder in the making. So he had to wear that hat everywhere.

His train puzzle from grandma and grandad.

You can probably see a mark on his eye too, well he had to run head first or should say face first into the edge of the table just as everyone got here. The odd thing is l can remember him doing the same thing last year on his 2nd birthday.

His monkey that laughs as you press his belly. Tahlia thought this was a hit. Thanks Aunty Tori and Uncle Dave for such a noisy toy!

Tahlia trying out his new Bob the builder helmet. Thanks Nanny and Pop.

Grandma made a lovely cushion for Nate, and it was rather entertaining watching his face expression as he opened the gift. He had no idea what it was until we told him grandma had made him a cushion. Then his face lit up and he did what an normal 3 year old would do and jumped up and down and rolled all over it. At least he has a soft landing now.

Thanks Grandma.

He had a great evening with the family and even shared his lollies he was given. You had no choice which one he offered you but was lovely to see him sharing.

He was even kind enough to offer his room to nanny and pop to sleep in. But no the bed was his and he offered them his bean bag to sleep on. But at least he remembered to give them a pillow and blanket.

Till his next birthday.....

Happy 3rd birthday Nathan

I can't believe our little man is now 3. He has been so excited this week and counting down to the BIG day. But he keeps telling everyone he is 4. I am not sure where he has got this idea from but he is quite certain he is 4. And he loves nothing better then to argue his point. I am sure l will have my hands full when he is a teenager.

The ELC (early learning centre) sang happy birthday and shared cake on Thursday and Nate was so excited about that. He loves going there one day a week, and this made his birthday even more special esp as it was all about him.

Friday was the big day and he woke early (was not too well during the night but seemed a lot better that morning) and was really excited. We let him open one gift and left the rest for when daddy came home from work. He was happy with the one gift as it was a Bob the builder DVD set. Both kids love Bob, so l will have some quiet time where they will be glued to Bob on tv.

It's my birthday!!!

oooohhhhh Bob DVD's....

We had a quiet day at home and saw Aunty Mim and went to the park. Then while the kids had a sleep mummy had to make a dinosaur cake for his birthday party the next day.

Daddy finally got home (must have been a long time for one little boy to wait for gifts). And Nate was able to open his presents. He was funny as he insisted to have a photo with every present and was happy to sit there and say "cheese". Usually l have to chase him to get photos.

Tahlia helping Nate out.

Cheese.

Next came the big present and a dream for any little Bob the builder out there. What could be under the towel. By the look on Nate's face he is very impressed.... and it is.....

A work bench with tools.

And do not forget the Bob the builder hard hat.

I think Nate is happy with all his gifts.

All the kids playing with the toys.

Now just another year to wait till's Nate's next birthday.

An Autumn hail storm

One afternoon it came over very very dark and grey. We had a few sounds of thunder, and a few flashes of lightening. Then the hail started, l have never seen it hail so hard in a short amount of time. Not since the storm we had a few years ago where we had hail stones the size of golf balls. That storm caused a lot of damage. But this one was a lot kinder to us.

The kids were asleep when the hail came but we had so much still there when they woke they were able to go outside and have a play.

As it was hailing.

The view from the front door. Like a winter scene.

The view from out the front.

At the front door.

The side door really coped it. Here is Oliver making his way inside.... bit cold on the paws.

The storm leaving.

The kids were awake and as the hail was still there they put on some warm gear and their boots and went on an adventure. It was a bit too cold for Tahlia she was just not too sure.

Tahlia

It was not till Nate was out that Tahlia felt a little more comfortable.

Autumn play (part2)

Well now to something more for those who do not like a challenge.... an afternoon in the park... playing peek-a-boo with the kids... dodging the magpies who wanted our pies we had for lunch (the challenge of the event), dancing in the autumn leaves and even on the lookout for platypus's.

If this sounds more like your cup of tea then come and join us in some fun in the park.

Tahlia before the magpies keep swooping...

Autumn leaves.

Rosella (these were a lot more welcomed by us then the swooping magpies)

autumn leaves, just makes a photo so more colourful.
