Anglesea part2

Part 2 of our holiday.

Did a day trip out (our only one) and went to the Otway Fly walk where you walk at the same height as the trees, quite amazing really.

We stopped at the Airy Inlet lighthouse so the kids could see it this time now that they were awake.

We got to the Otway Walk in the later afternoon after have to take a long detour as the back road we wanted was closed due to road works. We thought we would never get there.

Nathan was rather excited when we did get there as at the entrance he found some dinosauers.

Nige, the kids and a friend.

Cuddle time.

Up on the Otway Walk.

The view from the top.

Nathan did very well on the walk and walked most of the way (except for the last 5mins when he got a ride on the little golf buggy). But he climbed the steps to the top of the tower and loved walking on the path high in the trees as it swayed.

The Otway walk(yep we climbed to the top).

The next morning was rather warm and Nate was dying to make some sandcastles on the beach with his bucket and spade so we spent the best part on the morning down at anglesea beach. A great beach for young kids where you had the river, nice and shallow and out of the wind. Also as the tide was out you had all the rock pools to explore in or just have a paddle. Tahlia loved to paddle and Nathan loved to jump in the waves.

As Tahlia lost her hat the other day and we did not have another that had straps so it would not blow away she had to wear daddies. It was funny to see her wearing this oversized hat.

Now the fun time comes making sandcastles, Nige got in there and made amazing creations with Nate. Tahlia prefered to eat the sand. And l mean literally eat it, she had her little rake and she would drag it in the sand and then munch what was left on the end of the rack. ew......

Let the building begin.

A little bit here and a bit there.

Tahlia having a go.

And the end result ( i am sure Kirst will be able to tell us what it is. She flies one).
