What a week it has been with little Tahlia. It all started with Monday which l call "Monday Itis". Both kids were ratty and over tired from a busy weekend (which usually happens on Mondays), so just a nice quiet day at home (or so l thought).
I could have sworn someone had come into the house and changed the little boy whom we knew as Nathan overnight. He was moody and anything in his path was at risk. 2 year old tantrums, l hear you all agreeing with us.
So some quiet time (or so l thought) in his room after lunch. More like "let's see what l can destroy" He had ripped pages out of one of his favourite books which he loves to read with daddy, and anything within reach of his cot (armslength) was strewn all over his room or in the cot. But thankfully (for those who have heard about his artistic skills) there was no finger painting with matter we won't mention.
Anyhow l hear you all ask, how does this involve Tahlia. Well Tahlia has a morning ritual. She wakes (she is still in our room due to extensions), says hello to us and then goes for her morning crawl into Nate's room and have their morning natter on the previous nights events (so they tell us).
She did her afternoon crawl into Nate's room and hear them laughing and squealing and then a high pitch scream (any mother would know what l mean). Rush in there to find Tahlia lying on the ground with the strolled on top of her face. Poor little mite l though. Easy to move but don't speak too soon, went to move the stroller only for Tahlia to move with it. The poor child had the stroller's legs wedged around her head and neck. After some time with me panicking and trying to soothe and child in pain and Nate was so worried. We finally got it off with much tugging. Let's say she was a little sore and red faced after wards.
But much better the next day and no real bruising or other injuries...phew!
Tahlia the day after her event with the stroller. See no harm done.
Extension Well we finally got carpet in the kids rooms. So now we have to finish Nate's bed (Nige is making) and then move him into his room and then Tahlia will be moved into the what we call nursery (where Nate is now). She will not go into her room till at least next year (when she is ready for a BIG bed).
Nate's is the blue room and Tahlia's is the Lilac room. (excuse the lead and vacum was cleaner after the carpet was put in)
Having new carpet puts our old carpet to shame. Next is to get it cleaned. Certainly needs it.
Another one of our little bear.
Playtime with daddy.

And a Sunday at the park
Tahlia thought the best means of transport for herself was this bouncy playtpus. But she soon learnt she was not getting anywhere fast. It was would while it lasted though.
If only l was a bit taller to see the sights, l wonder what l would see. Says Nathan.
Mummy & Nathan
A ride on daddies shoulders is one way to get Tahlia smiling.
