A quiet week...

There there Ali....

Big blue eyes.

She is pulling herself up on everything now...

Tahlia working out... pushups its more fun working out with a friend.

Nathan's latest thing is wearing our shoes and dancing around the house.

Day trip to Lake Mountain

Yes there was finally some good snow fall to take the kids up for a day to the snow. There was about 50cms at Lake Mountain (about an hour drive from home) and that is a good amount. So we made the most of it.

After a few dramas, Nate being sick in the car and then Nige and Nate falling in black ice and needing (Nathan) a trip to first aid where we found he was suffering from low Blood Sugar Level. So they gave us some handy glucose gel and in 5 seconds he was the Nathan we all know and love.

And it kept him going till 11pm that night.

Anyway here are some pics of the day.

The road on the way there.

The view from the car... l could not get over the snow covered trees.

View from the car park.

A week of Winter fun!

Wow what a week it has been. All full of adventure and fun.

Met up with one of my mums from a forum with babies the same age as Tahlia. She had come down with her children from Canberra for the week and we thought meeting up would be great.

Nathan played with her son and Tahlia and her little friend were quite funny to watch proding and poking one another.
It certainly was lovely to put a name to a face.

Tuesday we were heading out the door to playgroup when we got the call to say there was no power up at the church where we have it. So thought what to do now. Had heard there was snow up in the Dandenongs.

So went for a drive. Not much there really, as soon as it hit the car it would melt. But was very foggy and hard to see, but still made it a nice drive. This is from the lookout at Kalorama.

Look who has found her feet. What a clever girl she is.

Wed was a nice cold day and was certainly snowing up in the hills. Took the kids up there in the afternoon (as l said in the other post) and they had a ball up there. Was very pretty to see snow so close to home. Does not happen very often at all.

Another Big day this week was Nathan starting his one day a week at the Early Learning Centre (yes he is growing up). He was very excited, l think more about his backpack. He could not stop talking about his backpack.

He had a few sad moments in the morning but when l went to pick him up it took me a good 1/2 hour to get him out the door. He just did not want to leave. Of course he had to hug everyone goodbye. He is such a loveable little boy.

Tahlia's latest fasination is the cat Oliver. I found both of them at the window laughing and "talking" to the cat, who just sat there staring at them. He eventally got bored and wandered off.

My cheeky girl. (and beautiful blue eyes)

Saturday we took the kids to Lake Mountain and that was an adventful day (will do a seperate post for this). So much happened, but turned out to be a good day in the end.

And the update of what the talented Nige is making. Nathan's car bed.

Till next week.

White Christmas in July

Wow this week has been cold, so cold in fact for snow to fall up in Mt Dandenong. Nige was even working from home so came along with us (the 2nd time) as l went back home to get him cos he was missing out.

I was surpised at how much was up there. And it was not cold at all. Nathan had a ball up there.

We went and played in the snow at the Olinda Golf course.

View from the carpark. (its not everyday you see body boards on the tee).

Nathan all ready to go and play.

It's cold mum.

Tahlia's first sight of snow and all rugged up.

How is anyone to follow the ball on this course? A keen golfer?

Tahlia.

Nathan.

This is fun mum. Tahlia chillin.

Ready, steady.... throw.... snowfight.
