Playgroup's morning at the Lake

Well the weather was perfect. A lovely 28C with a welcoming cool breeze.
Seeing the lake was in walking distance for us we walked down and met all the mums and kids from our Tuesday PG usually held at our church.

As soon as Nathan saw the park he was off and nothing could stop him. He saw his mate J down there and off they went together. Nathan is certainly hard to get good shots of him playing as he never sits still for long enough. But l did manage to get some and be proud of them.

This just shows how cute Nate can be when you capture him and he is still. There was another little girl on the see-saw with her grand-dad and Nate jumped on for the ride. As you can see it looks like he is enjoying it a lot.

Nate visits this park quite often and it is very popular for the families around this area. A nice big playground and it is used all year round. You never seem to have the park to yourself, even late at night! Well this is where we used to hang out in the evening with the Youth Group. lol

Another of Nate's favourites is the slide and he has no fear. As soon as he had the courage to go down he replied "again!" and off he went.

All this running around and playing sure makes all the kids hungry and Nate had to make sure his best mate J did not go hungry. And was making sure he ate everything with the helping hand of Nate. Just shows Nate caring nature. Wonder who he gets that from!

After a bite to eat it was time to feed the ducks, as soon as we got down there was a mad rush. No not the kids but the ducks. 3 big one were very greedy and rather agressive about it. You had to keep toes hidden if you wore sandals. But Nate was more interested in throwing sand to the ducks in the water.

Time was ending and it was time to go home. The caring side of Nate came out again as he walked hand in hand back to the cars with his mate J.

All in all a great day. Sure wore Nate out as he came home had lunch and then was soon asleep.

No toy is safe

Yep no toy is safe in Tahlia reach now. She is grabbing at her toys and chatting to them. It is so cute to watch.

She also loves to have tummy time and have her toys around her to chat to. But you have to watch Nate otherwise he will run off with her toys. But he is good with her and shows her the toys around her and plays with her.

Tahlia certainly made my day today. She is just 2 days shy of being 4 months and tonight l was playing with her and kissing her toes and she giggled. The sweetest sound l have heard all day. Certainly made up for the bad mood she has been in all day.

Had to share another photo of Nate, a one off as he is sitting still. That is a very rare occasion for

him.

Today he went to Mini Maestros (music group) and was really good today. Hardly ran around like he usually does. He certainly loves music and musical instruments. The music teacher was trying to play her guitar, but Nate wanted to help. I wonder if we have a little musician in the making.

He loved music when l was pregnant with him and whenever l was in the car and had some music on he would move around in the womb, and today when he hears a song whether we are in the car or shops he will bop along.

His hero at the moment is Bob the builder and he sings the theme song, it is so cute as the only words he sings are "bob.... yeah bob...."

Nathan my lil man

Seeing l did a post on Tahlia it is only fair l do one on my lil man. It is very hard to get pics of Nathan as he is just never still enough to get one. So bear with me here. lol

I have a thing for overalls. And l had a lovely friend send some to me for Nate and when they came in the mail he just had to try them on. I think he looks so cute in them. "All aboard the Nate train" He looks like a train driver in these ones. So cute.

His two loves are his daddy and his food. He follows daddy everywhere and loves to help daddy with whatever he can do. And food you name it he has to have it. Certainly gets that from both parents. lol

Another love of Nate's is his little sister and he is like a little mother to Tahlia and just loves her. I am sure he will be the Big Protective brother and anyone who upsets her has to deal with him. So l best warn you all.... Whenever she cries Nate is there patting her and saying "there there", or trying to shove the dummy into her mouth, usually when she does not need it... lol

This afternoon he was brushing her hair and she was looking up at him as he was doing it. It was just so cute to see them together and l know l will really look forward to watching them grow up and play together. I am sure they will fight like any siblings. But hey l never did! did l mum and dad (yer right they say).

But Nate loves to get out there and get his hands dirty and does not like missing out on anything. Certainly takes after his father. While we were away he had to help his Uncle Neil put the caravan onto the car. He loves to sweep so if any brooms are around he will start sweeping... even if it is the gravel on the road.He just has to keep himself busy. Certainly makes me tired just watching him. And anyone that knows him, knows they will be entertained when they are with him.

He is like Nige and not afraid to try anything. I am sure he will keep my stress levels up as he grows and climbs trees, rides a bike and do all the normal things boys do that have their mums sitting on the edge.

Well l hope you have enjoyed our last fews posts on our holidays and the updates on our children. Please feel free to leave some comments.

Tahlia 3 months

Wanted to share some recent photos of our little bear Tahlia. She is a delight to be around and such a happy and quiet little angel. But loves to have mum close by, she is a real mummies girl.

Here she is having a good chat to the ball, and her co-ordination is really good now and is able to grab at things.

It is funny as she was in her pouch today, while l was doing some shopping and had to grab onto my bag while she slept. It looked so cute her hanging onto the strap of my bag.

She is a little giggle pot too, but we are still waiting for her to laugh. We do get lots of grins, and smiles but still waiting for that beautiful sound of the baby giggle.I am sure she is not far off as there is a lot of, how would you call it? A gurgle sound cough??? If that makes any sense. But Tahlia loves to "chat" to her mummy and tells her all her secrets and dreams. I could sit there all day and listen to her "chat" away.

Nathan was funny at this age as he would chat to anything, the wall, bed, his toys, the tv, window, you name it. As soon as something grabbed his attention he was "chatting" away to it. Esp at 4am in the morning. lol

Thank goodness Tahlia is a lot quieter then her big brother. How would l cope with two kids who run off Energiser Batteries... lol

She certainly is our blued eyed girl though. And those big blue eyes certainly make you melt. I am sure they will get her out of a lot of trouble when she is older. I know daddy will be a sucker for them. But then hey don't all daddies melt at their daughters cuteness?? I know my dad did. lol

she loves to sit in her little pouch and watch the world go by when out and about with mummy and daddy. Certainly likes this way of transport then the pram. Hence the nickname 'Tali Bear'. Love to cuddle up with her mummy and daddy.

And l love this one of her in her pink little summer outfit. Hanging around with her mummy. She certainly is cute. But then l am her mother so why would l think any other way. lol

Nate's Beach Party

We spent one day of our holiday on the beach and wanted to share some photos of our day. It was down at a lovely little bay called Walkerville. Known for its historical kilns from the early 1900s. It was a lovely day of about 34C and spent the morning down at the beach and then ate lunch at Cape Liptrap lighthouse.

Nate and daddy had a ball building sandcastles. Anything to do with dirt and Nate is in there.

Tahlia spent the time resting in our beach hut, looking cool and cute. She even had a paddle in the sea but was not too happy about that.

Here is the last remainding kiln.

Mummy and Nate enjoying the sea.

All fun and games at the Cape Liptrap lighthouse.

And we thought you would like to see the lighthouse itself. Of course Nate has to be part of it.

Tahlia's first holiday

Nate was able to try out his colourful "Wiggles" jacket while we were away. It was drizzling when we called into Walkerville and totally different to the day before where we spent it on the beach, in the hot sun. It is very hard to get a photo of Nathan standing still.

Tahlia loves sitting in her little pouch and this was the first time we had her facing forwards. She loves to see where she is heading and looking for birds in this bird park in Tarwin Lower.

Our caravan set up was good and really cosy in the evening for Nige and l to sit in as well as cool to keep the kids out of the heat. And a lot easier to set up then our tent.

We had a day outing to Philip Island as well as a day at Walkerville beach and Cape Liptrap lighthouse. It was nice to get away and have some time together as a family. I had been a while since we had last been away.
Stayed tuned for our day outings and pics.

Labour Day weekend

Yes the time is here again, another time with the family down at our favourite place 'The Prom'. The weather was a lot better this year, and no Rain!! Yeah. The whole(well almost) mob was there. But we did miss Yogi/Kev who was unable to make it this year and l must say it was not the same down there without him.

And even some of us had different sleeping quaters this year, due to the famous Prom weather last year, all washed out.We brought down our little caravan down "Mabel" this year and used the annex for the first time, all worked out well.

Had some good beach weather and Nate had a ball in Tidal River. His favourite water activity is filling a bucket of water and then pouring it over himself, keeps him entertained for hours.
Early morning with Nate waking up and yelling out "Mum, Dad and Ali" he was rather happy to see us there every morning. lol
Tahlia was our little doll or as Nige now calls her "Tali Bear" as she loves her cuddles... esp her mum. We took her for some small hikes and she was happy to sleep in the pouch. Where Nate would love to sing the Bob the builder theme song, the only words he sings are "Bob... yeah". He is a Bob fan!
